History
Laurissa Jane Music Studio was founded by Alice Laurissa Harris, originally from Cambria Heights, New York. Since it's foundation, LJMS has been offering in-home music lessons for piano and voice. The secret to our success is due in part to being able to provide a wide range of methods of coaching fitted to each child and adult from beginners to the most advanced students. Throughout the year several workshops and recitals will expose our students to the best performance and practice techniques. LJMS has served numerous students off-site at neighborhood schools, retirement communities, as well as local churches.

Laurissa Jane Music Studio offers premier in-home piano and voice lessons to ambitious students ages 5-17 We Service Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island and Washington, DC. In the summer we run a 5 weeks summer arts camp in Queens, NY. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive program to educate our students so that they can reach a higher and more skillful level of playing, performing and growing our community. We strongly believe that the arts are an important contribution to society

My daughter has truly learn a lot with Laurissa Jane Music. We joined during Covid and the owner and voice teacher were so very accommodating. I would highly recommended.

My daughter has taken vocal lessons with the Laurissa school. This will be the third year. The growth in her vocals are due to Alice's teachings, words of encouragement and lessons in work ethics.
