Established in 1980, Long Island Center for Independent Living Inc. serves the people and families of Nassau County with disabilities. Based in Levittown, N.Y., it provides a number of services, such as limited transportation, benefits advisement, advocacy, general guidance, information and referrals, counseling and independent living skills, to name a few. In addition, the firm offers equipment loan, Hispanic outreach services and consumer directed personal assistance program. Long Island Center for Independent Living Inc. is associated with Brain Injury Association Inc. and New York State Developmental Disabilities Planning Council.
