Kristen Coffey, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist specializing in Breast and Body Imaging. She is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine. She serves as the Director of the Breast Imaging Fellowship Training Program.Dr. Coffey received her M.D. at Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in 2013, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Coffey completed a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine – NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (2014-2018) where she was elected Chief Resident. She then completed a one-year fellowship in Breast and Oncologic Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She achieved Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 2019.Dr. Coffey is experienced in all types of breast imaging, procedures, and diagnoses. She interprets mammography (2D, digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography), breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. She performs image-guided stereotactic, ultrasound, and MRI-guided biopsies as well as preoperative radioactive seed and wire localizations.Dr. Coffey’s research interests are broad and include contrast-enhanced mammography for screening women with elevated risk and breast imaging artificial intelligence. She serves on several breast imaging society committees and is a reviewer for radiology journals. Dr. Coffey is actively engaged in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. In recognition of her accomplishments, she was named a Fellow of the Society of Breast Imaging in 2025.

He later underwent further advanced training in minimally invasive procedures for pediatric diseases and vascular anomalies at renown Boston Children’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School. Before starting his own practice, Dr. Golowa had a distinguished tenure as an Associate Professor of Radiology at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in working at Montefiore Medical Center for over 12 years. He was appointed as director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and co-director of the Montefiore Vascular Anomalies Group. A nationaly known expert in his field, Dr. Golowa has been a speaker at numerous professional meetings. He served as a clinical trials co-investigator, and his authored manuscripts are published in prominent peer-reviewed journals.
