Grace Y. Wang, OD, attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA, graduating with honors in Biochemistry. She was an accomplished researcher in various fields, including HIV, Cutaneous Biology and Reproductive Biology. After a few years of research to solidify her biophysiology knowledge, she attended State University of New York College of Optometry to pursue her dream of helping people with medical needs. She was awarded with Scholarship for Humanity for her excellence in optometric study. After receiving her doctoral degree in optometry, she extended her optometric training by completing residency program in Ocular Disease, where she gained experiences in various areas of ophthalmology, including Laser vision correction management, cataract co-management, contact lens fitting, glaucoma diagnosis and management, retinal diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, and cornea and anterior segment pathology. After completing her residency training, Dr. Wang worked at a cornea specialty practice at New York EYE and EAR Infirmary. Besides providing Laser vision correction consultations to healthy patients, she also worked with cornea specialist to treat variety of rare cornea and anterior segment conditions, such as keratoconus, corneal dystrophies, acanthamoeba keratitis, fungal eye infections, and ocular autoimmune diseases. Dr. Lelli is Vice Chair of Ophthalmology, a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in oculoplastic surgery - a specialty requiring two years of additional training after ophthalmology residency focused solely on plastic and reconstructive surgery of eyelids, orbit and lacrimal system. During this training, accredited by the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), Dr. Lelli gained broad clinical and surgical experience while treating patients at Columbia University Medical Center, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, New York University Hospital, Bellevue Medical Center and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.Dr. Lelli graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During his final year, he served as Chief Resident and received the Ambulatory Care Excellence in Service Award for demonstration of integrity, professionalism and exceptional patient care.Dr. Lelli is a dedicated educator. While at the University of Michigan, he was twice awarded the Walker R. Parker Resident Teaching Award. He has written numerous papers and textbook chapters and routinely presents at national meetings. Dr. Lelli is an active participant in global mission work and education. Most recently, he has volunteered in East Africa, teaching and performing surgeries, and annually travels to Eastern Europe for an educational mission sponsored by the Open Medical Institute and the American Austrian Foundation. Dr. Meninabasi Ndaessien is an emergency medicine physician who currently practices at New York-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Dr. Ndaessien earned her degree in osteopathic medicine from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada and completed her residency training in emergency medicine at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY.
