I have been practicing counseling using various modalities (psychotherapeutic techniques combined with cognitive therapy and Rogerian client centered therapy.SpecialtiesNewDay Counseling Services is a counseling service set up and operated by me, Amie Mizzi, MSEd., LMHC. I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have a master's degree in mental health couseling and 30 years of experience. Counseling is more than a career to me. It is my passion. Some of my specialties include: anxiety; depression; bipolar disorder; identity issues; eating disorders; self-esteem; family issues; bereavement (human and pet). I provide counseling to children with special needs. I also help children experiencing trauma, from parental divorce/separation to loss/grief counseling. I am experienced working with parents struggling with basic parental demands, as well as those helping their children with special needs. My mission is to help you feel better about yourself so that you may accomplish all the goals and dreams that you set for yourself.We all deserve to feel good about ourselves.
