George P. Kazdin has worked in the pool industry for over 35 years. He started working part time and summers in the pool industry while in high school. Mr. Kazdin started his own business in 1972 with a $70.00 investment and a used car. Today Kazdin Pools & Spas is celebrating over 35 years in business. The firm has received over 70 design awards from the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals and the Northeast Pool and Spa Association. Kazdin Pools & Spas has been chosen for the fourth time by Aqua Magazine as one of the top 100 pool firms in the United States. Kazdin Pools & Spas has just been recognized by APSP as on of the first 11 Retailers of Excellence in the country. Many of Kazdin Pools & Spas jobs have been featured in trade magazines. George P. Kazdin has given his time back to his industry. He helped develop one of the first certified education programs created for pool professionals. He has served at every level of governance with in the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals. He has chaired many Councils and Committees as well as holding close to every office. He has held every office in both the Long Island Chapter of NSPI and at the Regional level he has held every office of the Northeast Spa and Pool Association. He holds every accreditation offered by the industry and is both a Certified Service and Certified Pool Building Professional. Kazdin Pools & Spas regularly consults with Architects and designers working from inception on many projects. We are able to offer innovation using the latest technologies and construction details. Kazdin Pools & Spas has an international reputation having consulted and worked on projects in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and South America. George P. Kazdin is a featured speaker and instructor at industry conventions and events and contributes regularly to articles in the trade press. Currently he is on the board of the Long Island Pool & Spa Association, and the Northeast Pool & Spa Association. Active in community affairs he serves on the Southampton Hospital Board of Directors. Working with Southampton Town and members of the Long Island Pool & Association he was the driving force in developing the newly created "Green Pool" building and maintenance codes. These were the first on Long Island! He continues to be active in community affairs and clubs as well as being recognized nationally as sports fishing enthusiast and conservationist. He is a USCG Licensed Ships master regularly acting as Captain on his Charter Boat the Patsy K III. George P. Kazdin is active in the firm managing construction and renovation divisions. He manages every job personally and is always available to the firm's clients. The extensive Service and Repair operations are managed by Glenn S. Cook. Glenn S. Cook started with the firm in 1978 ; he is the Vice President and has an ownership stake in the company. Glenn is up to date on the latest technologies and methods for building, repairing, renovating and servicing pools and spas. Julie Kazdin Boucher started with the firm full time over 5 years ago and handles service responsibilities with Glenn as well as managing all the inventory needs. Together they manage the service department through the use of GPS, radio systems and cell phone communications. The Retail sales division is managed by Patricia E. Kazdin. Pat has been with firm since it's inception in 1972.
