History

Katie Dwyer is a mom who wanted to give other moms in NYC a financial break! She began writing music when her daughter was born and decided it was time to share her music and creativity with children everywhere by starting her own music program. Her first music album will be released in the Summer 2020.

Specialties

Now enrolling students for the Winter term beginning January 2020. Katie's Corner is a children's music program located in the heart of the Upper West Side. It was specifically designed for infant and toddler children. Every song was written with that of a child's imagination and curiosity in mind. The songs will open a door of wonder and will touch on life's special moments, like when we need to be kind, using our imagination, evading a big giant named Moe, singing the sequence of a brewing storm, the importance of manners, or just being silly. Every song is filled with a rich melody that will have you and your child singing together throughout the day. Katie's wholesome music incorporates the basic roots that are vital to our children's development: sign language, repetition, rhyming schemes, call and response, instrumental play, movement, and more. She also believes the interaction and participation by parents or caregivers in class is crucial in enriching a child's interest in participating themselves.
