Kaori Stram, LMHC

History

Kaori Stram, LMHC, graduated from NYU with master's degree in counseling and has worked as a counselor/psychotherapist at a variety of settings including not-for-profit organization, community out patient clinic, college counseling center, and trauma treatment center before starting her own practice in 2011.

Specialties

Specialty areas are anxiety, panic, depression, insomnia, PTSD, interpersonal trauma such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and childhood sexual/physical abuse. Therapy style is collaborative and relational, and is informed by a healing-oriented, emotion-focused, attachment-based psychotherapy model called AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), with emphasis on mindfulness & compassion practices.
