Joel Brooks, D.O., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University and Assisting Attending Pediatrician at the New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology. Dr. Brooks completed medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, Internal Medicine Residency and Chief Residency at UPMC Lititz Hospital, and Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. During fellowship, he completed a Masters of Public Health with a focus on global health and social and behavioral sciences at the Yale School of Public Health. In addition, he completed the Fellows as Medical Educators certificate program at the Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Brooks joined the faculty at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC where he served as a staff allergist and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Brooks was the Site Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Allergy and Immunology Fellowship. His areas of clinical and research interests include food allergies, drug allergies, angioedema, and immunizations. He has presented his work at national and international meetings as well as published in scientific journals. Dr. Brooks is also very engaged in medical education and serves on multiple committees for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.

Ramsay L Fuleihan, MD
Dr. Ramsay Fuleihan is the clinical director of the Division of Pediatric Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology and a professor of pediatrics at Columbia. Throughout his career his main research interest has been the pathogenesis and treatment of primary immunodeficiency diseases. Dr. Fuleihan was formerly chief of the division of allergy and immunology at Sidra Medical and Research Center in Qatar, and Director of Primary Immunodeficiency Clinical Services and the Jeffrey Modell Diagnostic and Research Center for Primary Immunodeficiencies at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Dr. Fuleihan earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, completed his pediatric residency at Duke University Medical Center, and fellowship in allergy and immunology at the Children’s Hospital-Boston at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Fuleihan is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is an active fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, where he served as Chair of the Primary Immunodeficiency Committee; a member of the Clinical Immunology Society, where he served as chair of the CME committee; a member of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies; and a member of the Society for Pediatric Research. He serves on the Medical Advisory Committee of the Immune Deficiency Foundation and on the Board of Directors of Bounce Children’s Foundation.

Dr. Fruauff obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree in May 2019 from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. She completed a four-year Diagnostic Radiology residency at New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center in June 2024. In June 2025, she will have completed a one-year fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at New York University Langone Hospital in New York, NY. Dr. Fruauff will provide patient care at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center in the Departments of Radiology and Division of Abdominal Imaging. She will contribute to the education and research missions of the department.
