Midwives Cathy Gallagher and Susan Schmidt offer homebirth midwifery services to families in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, and Orange counties in NY as well as parts of CT and NJ. Our birth package includes complete holistic prenatal office visits, labor and birth in the comfort of your own home, and postpartum visits at day 1, 2, week 2, week 6, and 3 months. We bring the birth center to you! Families in our practice can have water births, are never separated from their babies, and all members of the family are encouraged to participate as much as is comfortable for you and them. Prenatal visits are 1 hour long which gives plenty of time for you to ask questions, receive some education about your pregnancy, give holistic referrals for any discomforts you might be experiencing, and of course all the fun things like listening to your baby, measuring, feeling your baby's position etc. Come see what home birth is all about!
