Established in 1987, Family Health Center Inc. is a nonprofit community providing health care services to the people. Based in Far Rockaway, N.Y., the organization offers its services to the needy, medically indigent/ or medically undeserved residents of the Rockaway Peninsula in New York. The Health Center is licensed by the State of New York as a diagnostic and treatment center. It specializes in ophthalmology, endocrinology, HIV- AIDS, audiology, podiatry, mental health, infectious diseases and surgeries, to name a few. Primary care services include pediatric, dental, internal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology. It provides support to the teens, nursing, community resource center, pharmacy, social service, nutrition, health education and facilitated insurance, among others.
