Dr. Deland came to Hospital for Special Surgery on July 1, 1991, from Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. He is the recipient of an NIH Grant on Posterior Tibial Tendon Insufficiency. Dr. Deland initiated the creation of the Foot and Ankle Service at HSS.
