Jodi P. Lerner, MD

Dr. Tracey Isidro is a Sports Medicine and non-interventional spine physician in the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Dr. Isidro is double-boarded in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and completed her sports medicine fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medicine. After graduating from Rice University for college, she attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch where she was Vice President of her class and an Interprofessional Scholar. She did an internship in Internal Medicine at Baylor Scott & White and is now board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) upon completing residency at the #7 program Baylor College of Medicine and working at the #2 U.S. News and World Report rehabilitation hospital TIRR Memorial Hermann. Dr. Isidro was recently awarded Top Doctor’s Women in Medicine Award for being a Top Sports Medicine doctor in New York. Dr. Isidro treats and manages multiple sports and musculoskeletal conditions, uses diagnostic ultrasound as an extension of her physical exam, and performs a variety of ultrasound-guided joint injections. She incorporates active listening with a multi-disciplinary, holistic, and non-operative approach where she teaches her patients about their condition and empowers them to take an active role in their health. She also includes aspects of Lifestyle Medicine such as physical activity, nutrition, sleep, stress management, social network, and substance avoidance in her treatment plans. Because of her diverse culture, ability to speak Spanish, and her opportunity to work with people of different socioeconomic backgrounds, she is mindful of social determinants of health in helping her patients get better. Above all, Dr. Isidro continues to provide excellent bedside manners and is committed to being the best physician and cheerleader for her patients. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Isidro is very passionate about leadership, advocacy for women physiatrists and physician wellness, and mentorship. The Association of Academic Physiatrists (AAP) selected her for the 2022 McLean Outstanding Resident/Fellow Award, the top national award that is historically given to one trainee for their dedication to medical education, research, academic performance, and leadership. While at Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Isidro was the only trainee to receive the 2021 Women of Excellence Award for her contributions related to developing a leadership curriculum for women physiatrists. Further, she held leadership roles with AAP and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPM&R) and was the only resident in the nation from 2018-2019 to serve on the trainee councils of both national organizations. She pioneered the AAP Words of Wellness Podcast Series that has been listened to close to 6,000 times. Also, Dr. Tracey Isidro and her twin sister Dr. Stacey Isidro have spoken nationally and written on topics including tips on how to be happy, healthy, and successful and recently gave a talk at AAPM&R on Lifestyle Medicine. Moreover, she is dedicated to supporting the upcoming generation of physicians through PM&R and sports medicine workshops, lectures, and mentorship for career development as an active member of AAPM&R, AAP, and the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine (AMSSM). Outside of medicine, you can find her making fun dance videos and highlighting medical content on Instagram with her twin Dr. Stacey Isidro (Instagram: @drstaceydrtracey), dancing salsa and bachata, running in Central Park, volunteering with a non-profit organization Achilles International that encourages patients with disabilities to stay active and connected to their community, and exploring new restaurants with family and friends. Lusha Liang, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University and Attending Physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Liang received her medical degree with honors from Weill Cornell Medical College. She completed her internship and internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and underwent additional training in advanced echocardiography at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. During this time, she also obtained her masters degree in Patient Oriented Research from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Her research focuses on improving outcomes in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. Dr. Liang sees patients in the Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center, where she specializes in the diagnosis and management of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Center utilizes all the resources at the medical center to provide comprehensive care including advanced cardiac imaging, invasive septal reduction therapies (septal myectomy or alcohol septal ablation) when indicated, and cardiogenetics. In her clinic, Dr. Liang also sees patients with general cardiovascular disease including hypertension, high cholesterol, valvular and coronary heart disease, and heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Liang is also an Attending physician at Columbia University Medical Center’s Cardiovascular Ultrasound laboratory where she performs and interprets stress echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and transthoracic echocardiograms. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Echocardiography. In her practice, she strives to provide cutting edge cardiovascular care that is compassionate and patient-centered.

Dr. Mark Francescone is board certified in diagnostic radiology with subspecialty training in both breast and body imaging. Dr. Francescone is an assistant professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Francescone is a member of the Radiological Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society and New York Roentgen Society.
