Jo-Mar Grooming & Boarding

History

The name Jo-Mar represents the founders Joseph & Maryann Grasman. They started grooming in 1962 in their home in Elmont, NY. Joseph & Maryann also started breeding their prize winning Schnauzers. In 1972 they moved their business to a shop on Meacham Ave in Elmont. In1974 their son Scott joined them, and started grooming. Because of their love of animals, the care & attention to details, the business grew & again had to move. Jo-Mar relocated in 1977 to 5 Covert Avenue, Floral Park, NY, where they remained for 22 years. Scott & his wife Catherine took over the business in 1986. They continued to work with the same values as their parents, & with the same love & dedication to animals. In 1999, Jo-Mar purchased their own building next door, and was able to improve and expand.Today, Jo-Mar resides at 1 Covert Avenue, in the beautiful town of Floral Park, NY. Jo-Mar has been serving Floral Park and the surrounding communities for 46 years.

Grooming all Breeds and Specialized Boarding Tailored to your pets needs. For the saftey of your pet and others all dogs and cats must be current on all their vaccinations including Bordatella, DHLPP, Rabies and canine influenza. Bordetella is required by Jo-Mar to be administered every 6 months for boarding pets.
