Dr Brissette is one of New York Citys leading ophthalmologists and cataract surgery experts. She has been voted by her patients and peers as a New York City Super Doctor many years in a row. She is also the ophthalmologist for the New York Rangers (NHL) hockey team. Dr. Brissette is a spokesperson for the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has been featured by many media outlets for her expert opinion. She is an active and accomplished researcher and is frequently invited to lecture both nationallyand internationally about cataract surgery and laser vision correction.Dr. Brissette is double board certified by both the American Board of Ophthalmology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (her home country but is a proud New Yorker and member of the Weill Cornell Ophthalmology team).

Dr. Heinze earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he graduated with Distinction in Medical Education. His commendable work included developing and implementing programs to support students from various communities to pursue medical careers. He then went on to complete his ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois Chicago – Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary (IEEI). During his residency he was selected to serve as chief resident and nominated by his peers to receive the departmental Resident Education Award. He further specialized with a two-year fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at IEEI, accredited by the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. As a fellow, Dr. Heinze received the departmental Resident Education Award once again, along with the Fellow of the Year Award, in recognition of his continued dedication to resident and medical student education.Dr. Heinze is author and co-author of a number of journal articles and book chapters. His areas of clinical and research interest include utilization of artificial intelligence to streamline clinical processes, resident surgical education, and the development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion efforts aimed at supporting learners of all levels to pursue careers in medicine and ophthalmology.

Dr. Kimberly Sippel attended Harvard College in Cambridge, Massachusetts, graduating with honors in Biochemical Sciences. She received her medical degree with the Alpha Omega Alpha honor distinction from the Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in New York City. Following two years of training in general surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Sippel completed ophthalmology residency training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. She then completed the fellowship program in Cornea and External Disease at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and is a recipient of both a Heed Foundation fellowship, as well as the American Ophthalmological Society Knapp Foundation fellowship award. Dr. Sippel also pursued several years of vision-related laboratory investigation as a Research Fellow at both the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and the Schepens Eye Research Institute in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Sippel is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Sippel is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Weill Cornell Medicine and the NewYork Presbyterian Hospital. Prior to joining the Weill Cornell faculty, Dr. Sippel was with Cornea Consultants of Boston/ Laser Eye Consultants of Boston and had an active teaching role at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary. Her interests include laser vision correction surgery, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery, corneal disease and dry eye, and conjunctival tumors.Kimberly C.
