History
The original Jeremy's opened in 1974 in the South Street Seaport Museum. It moved 4 times and now occupies the ground floor of 228 Front St. 1/2 block north of the Seaport. Jeremy's East on the Nautical Mile in Freeport is on the water and has taken on a life of its own while still keeping the flavor of the original restaurant. The management in Freeport began their careers at Jeremy's in the city and still have a connection to it. A friendly rivalry exists between the two locations with Jeremy being caught in the middle.
