Jeffrey A. Geller, MD, specializes in arthritic disorders of the hip and knee. He has extensive training in joint replacements and performs surgery using some of the latest and most advanced minimally invasive techniques. These procedures include partial knee replacements, anterior hip replacements, hip resurfacing, as well as minimally invasive hip and knee replacements. Dr. Geller performs both primary joint replacement surgery and revisions of failed or painful joint replacements, but only after considering all non-operative treatment options. He also specializes in trauma of the lower extremity including hip fractures, fractures around joint replacements, and fractures related to osteoporosis. Dr. Geller’s other clinical focus is pre-emptive pain control, i.e. preventing post-op surgical pain before it can start, to enable a faster, more comfortable rehab process. Dr. Geller is actively involved in orthopedic research and education and is conducting several large-scale research projects on some of the most advanced topics in joint reconstruction. In addition to teaching medical students and residents, he lectures at national orthopedic conferences and has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles.

Dr. Stephen Reis is a board-certified radiologist with specialization in vascular and interventional radiology. He is the chief of the Division of Interventional Radiology and an associate professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Reis’ clinical practice focuses on the minimally invasive treatment of tumors of the kidney, liver, and lung as well as metastatic tumors of the liver and lung, using percutaneous (through the skin) ablation and embolization. The management of lower extremity venous insufficiency and maintenance of dialysis access rounds out his practice. Dr Reis is known in the region as an expert in selective venous sampling. He works closely with the physicians at Columbia's Adrenal Center in the diagnosis of primary hyperaldosteronism. Dr. Reis completed his medical school training at New York Medical College and his internship at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Manhattan. His post-graduate training includes a diagnostic radiology residency at Westchester Medical Center and a vascular-interventional radiology fellowship at the University of Texas—Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He remained on faculty at UT—Southwestern until he was recruited by Columbia University Irving Medical Center for his expertise in cancer care. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology and the American College of Radiology (ACR) where he serves on several national quality-improvement committees including the Expert Panel on Vascular Imaging, which is responsible for writing the ACR appropriateness criteria for medical imaging.
