We began JDI Barbell in April 2016.

We focus exclusively on the training and education of Olympic-weightlifting, powerlifting, and foundational strength and conditioning. Our aim is to develop long-term relationships with our members and the greater strength and fitness community of New York City and its surrounding areas. We look to accomplish this by creating a venue where athletes, coaches, and strength and fitness professionals of all backgrounds and skill levels come to train, learn, collaborate with seminars and classes, and build community. We offer group/team coaching, semi-private small group coaching, and one-on-one private coaching all focused on dedicated strength and barbell training. We focus on building competitive barbell sport teams with our competitive powerlifting club and USAW registered Olympic-weightlifting club that compete at local and national level competitions
