Dr. Joshua Weintraub is the executive vice chairman of the Department of Radiology and chief of the Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Board-certified in diagnostic radiology with additional subspecialty certification in vascular and interventional radiology, Dr. Weintraub is professor of radiology (in surgery) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center an an assistant attending radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. He was previously the vice chairman of radiology and director of vascular and interventional radiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.Dr. Weintraub is internationally recognized in the field of vascular and interventional radiology as a researcher, educator, and innovator. Dr. Weintraub has participated in multiple clinical trials in the areas of locoregional cancer therapy and vascular disease. He was a co-principle investigator of a major international study evaluating the treatment of acute venous thrombosis via thrombus removal with adjunctive catheter-directed thrombolysis. Dr Weintraub is a fellow with the Society of Interventional Radiology and a member of the Radiology Society of North America (RSNA), the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Dr. Stuart Bentley-Hibbert is a aboard-certified radiologist with expertise in both gastrointestinal and genitourinary imaging, with particular focus on oncologic, hepatobiliary, and transplant imaging. He is an associate professor of radiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and chief of the Division of Abdominal Imaging. Dr. Bentley-Hibbert also serves as vice chair of regional imaging network for the Department of Radiology. After graduating from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine, Dr. Bentley-Hibbert’s training continued in the United States with a PhD in Experimental Pathology. This laid the foundation in the pathological basis of diseases. His interest and expertise was recognized early, allowing him to serve on faculty while a medical student and resident. After completing both his residency and fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, Dr. Bentley-Hibbert dedicated himself to forming close relationships with other healthcare practitioners to focus in the practice of radiology of the patient and the individual clinical scenario. Acting as division chief, educator, and clinician, Dr. Bentley-Hibbert’s team is comprised of world leading experts in the field of radiology who place the patient center stage.

Dr. William Middlesworth joined the medical staff of Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia (MSCHONY), Division of Pediatric Surgery in 1997. He currently serves as director of the Pediatric ECMO Program, and Residency Program Director of the Pediatric Surgical Fellowship. Dr. Middlesworth has founded and leads the Pediatric Thyroid Center and the REACH (Researching Esophageal Atresia for Children’s Health) Clinic. A graduate of Dartmouth College, Dr. Middlesworth spent two years in the Genetics Department at the Boston Children’s Hospital on work leading to the identification and characterization of the dystrophin gene, important in the pathophysiology of muscular dystrophy. He went on to medical school at Rutgers University, and completed his general surgery training at the University of Maryland Medical System. During residency he spent a year as a surgical research fellow at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. His pediatric surgery fellowship was completed at MSCHONY. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, Dr. Middlesworth serves on numerous hospital and university committees focused on Quality and Patient Safety, and is the Quality Chair for Columbia Department of Surgery. He is the Surgeon Champion at the Columbia campus for the National Surgical Quality Improvement Project (NSQIP) of the American College of Surgeons. He chairs a multi-institution collaborative to reduce harm and enhance safety in the peri-operative setting that is sponsored by MCIC Vermont, the member-owned malpractice insurance carrier for Columbia, Cornell, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Johns Hopkins Medicine, University of Rochester Medicine and Yale. Dr. Middlesworth is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of numerous professional organizations dedicated to advancing the surgical care of infants and children, including the American Pediatric Surgical Association (APSA), the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma(EAST) and the Extra-corporeal Life Support Organization(ELSO), among others. Dr. Middlesworth has been selected as a Best Doctor in New York Magazine, and a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He has received recognition for excellence in teaching, and authored numerous papers in important journals including the Journal of Pediatric Surgery, the Journal of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology and Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
