JASA

JASA, also known as the Jewish Association for Services is a multiservice, autonomous agency that is affiliated with the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies. It is one of the largest community-based, voluntary social service agencies in the United States. The association serves more than 55,000 senior citizens throughout New York City with a range of programs and services. It assists senior citizens, individuals, families and children. JASA provides specialized programs for the people with disabilities and other developmental difficulties. The organization provides community-based behavioral medical care services related to mental health, juvenile justice, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and foster and elder care. In addition, it offers various vocational, recreational, educational and health care programs for adults and seniors. JASA also provides customized services related to family planning, home ownership, stress management, and rehabilitation and abuse prevention. The organization is located in New York City.
