History

Last fall Jalsa began serving incredible Indian food created for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters. Thanks to the support we have received from the Yelp community, we have been inspired to continue expanding our menu to now include some unique vegan and gluten free dishes previously unavailable in Brooklyn such as kale and spinach pakora and artichoke tikka and artichoke tikka Masala. And by popular request, beginning Monday June 17 at 9:00 AM, we will be serving gluten free vegan breakfasts including authentic Indian dosa!

Specialties

At Jalsa Grill & Gravy, enjoy a wide range of delicious Indian cuisine. The Jalsa Chicken Dum Biryani and Chicken Chaap has been inspired by Mughal culture of the Northern part of India. Also known as Mughlai Royal food, the dishes are full of unique flavors. The Grills are tender and are made fresh on order basis. A lot of vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Special care is taken to avoid cross-contamination by separating pot and oil of the vegan dishes during preparation. Enjoy fresh homemade paneer with Palak paneer kofta and paneer nizami. Some of the highly recommended vegan options are Gobi Ka Keema (Cauliflower), Okra Onion, Plantain Kofta Curry. Treat your taste buds with our special Mumbai Chat section, which offers sweet, spicy, and tangy flavor to all its chat dishes. Some of the favorites are Bhelpuri, Papri Chat and Eggplant chat.
