He then completed his final two years of general surgical training including his Chief Resident year at NYU Langone Health. He completed a colorectal fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic in Ohio during which time he received an excellence in education award. He then did an additional fellowship in complex re-operative surgery for Crohns disease and ileal J-pouch/redo J-pouch surgery at NYU Langones IBD Center. Since that time, over the last 3 years, he has been working as colorectal surgeon with specific expertise in robotic surgery, IBD and complex colorectal surgery at Mather Hospital- Northwell Health.Dr. Schwartzberg has given several lectures at national meetings and published articles & book chapters on various topics in colorectal surgery including IBD and robotic surgery. He is a reviewer for several surgical journals and serves on various national committees related to colorectal and minimally invasive surgery.Dr. Schwartzberg prides himself in listening to patients and working with them, their families, and doctors to formulate treatment plans with their goals in mind. He aims to use minimally invasive surgery techniques including robotic surgery for a variety of colorectal conditions.

Dr. Anthony Provenzano is a practicing Medical Oncologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Westchester located in Bronxville, NY. He received his medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and has been in practice for 36 years. Some of Dr. Provenzanos areas of interest are, but are not limited to, lung cancer, breast cancer, genitourinary cancer, GI malignancy, lymphoma, esophageal cancer, head and neck malignancy, and melanoma (see below). He is a member of ASCO's (American Society of Clinical Oncology) clinical guideline committee. He is on the Advisory Guideline Group to the Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee for ASCO. Dr. Provenzano is board certified in Medical Oncology and is up to date in MOC (maintenance of certification). In addition, he has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and has interests in the applications of mathematics and physics to oncology diagnostics and treatment.In addition to what is previously listed he has a special interest in cancer genetics, immunotherapy, and basic science applications for cancer diagnostics and treatment. Dr. Provenzano is also the chairman of the Cancer Committee at New York Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital and has assisted in attaining and maintaining the accreditation of our Cancer Program.
