History

We have grown from a small dream at a kitchen table in 1976 to a global and diverse organization that offers women a lifetime of craft and community, both online and in person. Our signature weeklong summer conference has been running every year for over forty years. In 2016 launched our Digital Village to connect women writers around the world and offer them the chance to learn craft in community with other women.

Specialties

We are a women's writing organization whose mission is to empower women personally and professionally through the written word. We offer a mix of digital and live workshops and conferences that cross genres and provide women with opportunities to develop craft and confidence. We also offer the opportunity to belong to a diverse and inclusive community of women writers that is growing around the world.

Art & Science Collaborations

Art Science Collaborations, Inc. (ASCI) is an international nonprofit organization based in New York City. Founded in 1988, ASCI aims to increase the visibility of art-sci work that is inspired by or utilizes science and technology to create new forms of expression. They also strive to foster dialogue and collaborations between the fields of art and science.
