International Wire Group manufactures and markets wire products that include bare and tin-plated copper wire and insulated copper wire products for other wire suppliers and original equipment manufacturers. IWG's products include a spectrum of copper wire configurations and gauges with a variety of electrical and conductive characteristics. They are utilized by a variety of customers primarily in the appliance, automotive, electronics and data communications and industrial/energy industries. IWG manufactures and distributes products at nearly 20 facilities in the United States, Mexico, France, Italy and the Philippines, including its St. Louis headquarters. In 2006, International Wire Group acquired Phelps Dodge High Performance Conductors of South Carolina and Georgia from Phelps Dodge Corporation.
