The Leske family sold the bakery in 1987 to the Rosenhammer family. Today Leske's is own by Kenneth Grande and Steven DeSimone who employee many of the same bakers and counter staff. Managers John Giglio & Harry Hawk along with the entire staff (and owners) invite you to come back to Leske's even if it's only your first visit. Try our specialties and let us know how we are doing.

Leske's was founded in 1961 by a German Baker (Hans Leske) with an Italian wife (Ella) who baked and sold Scandinavian/Nordic pastries and breads: Kringle, Kransekage, Sticks, Boller, Julekage and more. Leske's is also know for NYC favorites like B&W Cookies with Choc/Vanilla fudge icing, Crumb buns and rafts, Cheese Cakes, Cupcakes, tarts, pies, and many types of cakes including Seven Layer and Hard Icing Cake.
