Hudson News Company, one of the largest distributors and retailers of magazines and books in the New York area, was incorporated in 1926 as the Bayonne News Company. Hudson Group Retail was formed in 1987 to fulfill the concession needs of the transportation industry by creating and operating newsstands, bookstores, gift shops and specialty stores in major airports and terminals throughout the United States and Canada. The company currently operates at more than 400 locations in the United States and Canada. The company creates and manages a variety of highly appealing specialty shops that fulfill the needs of travelers while complementing the design and culture of the areas in which they are located. Hudson Group partners with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises to bring diversity, local business participation and a unique local character to its concession programs. Hudson has nearly 45 DBE contracts that involve the majority of its airport concession programs across North America.
