Howell Motors Ford Inc

F.W. Howell founded Howell Motors in 1914. Originally, the business sold cars, trucks, tractors and farm implements. Mr. Howell retired in 1946 when his son-in-law, Francis Pusateri, returned from California to become the second owner. On May 1, 1967, Mr. Pusateri hired Jim Landers to become the general manager. After 11 years of working together, Mr. Pusateri was ready to retire and sold the franchise to Mr. Landers, officially becoming the dealer principal in 1979. At that time, Mr. Landers' son Michael was graduating from high school and was accepted at Northwood Institute to pursue his degree in automotive marketing. Michael graduated in 1981 and returned to Niagara County to begin his career. In 1988, Howell Motors Ford relocated from the original location on Main Street in Newfane to the present location in Wrights Corners. In 2012, Landers passed the ownership baton to Michael making him the fourth dealer principal in the storied history of Howell Motors Ford.
