Omar A. Jarral, MD PhD FRCS (CTh) is an Attending Cardiac Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Northwell Cardiovascular Institute, New York. He completed medical school at Imperial College London. During his surgical training, he completed a PhD in cardiovascular sciences, focusing on aortic surgery. He completed a Biodesign Fellowship at BioInnovate and Boston Scientific Corporation. During this fellowship, he was inventor or co-inventor of four transcatheter mitral/tricuspid concepts which have received international and US patents, and are undergoing development. He is author of over 60 peer reviewed scientific publications.
