He completed medical school at Imperial College London. During his surgical training, he completed a PhD in cardiovascular sciences, focusing on aortic surgery. He completed a Biodesign Fellowship at BioInnovate and Boston Scientific Corporation. During this fellowship, he was inventor or co-inventor of four transcatheter mitral/tricuspid concepts which have received international and US patents, and are undergoing development. He is author of over 60 peer reviewed scientific publications.
