Albany Electrical Contractors Association ( AECA ) was incorporated in 1938 as the Albany, New York regional chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association ( NECA ). NECA, itself, was founded in 1901 to promote the interests of qualified electrical contractors for the benefit of the customers and the public that they serve. AECA was founded to unite the electrical contractors of the Albany, New York Capital region so as to give them one combined voice both locally and at the national association level as well as to promote and support the mission of NECA in this area. AECA currently enjoys a solid membership comprising a majority of the electrical contractors in the area.
