Dr. Goldman earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Denison University and has a master’s degree in Psychology in Education from Columbia University Teacher’s College. Dr. Goldman earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University where she received extensive training in mindfulness-based interventions, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Following internship, Dr. Goldman completed her postdoctoral fellowship training at Stanford University School of Medicine/Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital where she provided individual, couples, and group therapy to parents in the NICU and integrated care to women during the perinatal period. She is rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and has received training in Perinatal Child-Parent Psychotherapy (P-CPP) to work with infants, young children, and parents exposed to trauma and adversity. Dr. Goldman has also received training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). In psychotherapy, Dr. Goldman often integrates evidence-based approaches to meet individual patients’ needs and goals. At Weill Cornell, Dr. Goldman is contributing to the development of a collaborative care model with colleagues in Obstetrics to better serve the mental health needs of women and families during the perinatal period, following pregnancy and infant loss, and through infertility treatment. Dr. Goldman is also working on developing clinical services to treat parents, infants, and young children in the outpatient setting as well as in the NICU at Weill Cornell/NYP. She is actively involved in education of psychology and psychiatry trainees related to perinatal, infant, and early childhood mental health at Weill Cornell. Dr. Goldman also collaborates with colleagues on research in these areas and presents at national and international conferences.
