Way of the Wolf Dog Training offers dog training and behavior modification with a professionally certified dog trainer, Juliana Goodwin, BS., Cert. DT. I specialize in working with rescue dogs, dogs adopted from shelters, and we can even assist you in selecting the right dog to adopt if you are looking to add to your family. I have worked with many different breeds and types of dogs including wolf dogs (wolf-hybrids), pit bulls and other bully breeds, working line German Shepherd Dogs, Belgian Malinois, Akitas, Norwegian Elkhounds, boxers, Newfoundlands, Poodles, Pomeranians, Weimeraner, livestock guarding dogs. I have expertise in dealing with all common behavioral problems like jumping up, leash pulling and not coming when called. I also have expertise dealing with dogs with severe dog aggression, aggression against humans including dogs with bite histories, and dogs who chase livestock or have killed livestock or other animals. I have helped dogs with separation anxiety and resource guarding as well. I offer balanced dog training which consists of positive reinforcement, shaping and behavior chaining but I am also skilled at using remote collars (E-Collar) and prong collars when the need arises. I am proud to be the president of the Pyremont Foundation, Inc., which is dedicated to providing Medical Service Dogs for women who are disabled by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am excited to say that we are working on expanding the business to include in-home dog boarding and dog daycare. Way of the Wolf offers dog training to Rutland, Vermont, Manchester, Vermont and all points in between along Route 7. I offer in home one on one dog training appointments, or you can come to me for a reduced rate. I also can assist with puppy socialization and semi-private classes.
