Established in 1921, Helen Keller Hospital is one of the leading nonprofit health care service providers that serves the residents of northwest Alabama. It is a 185-bed facility that is owned and operated by the Colbert County-Northwest Alabama Healthcare Authority, a nine-member board comprised of local citizens appointed by the Colbert County Commission.
