Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is an industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant making organization. A part of the American Theatre Community, BC/EFA s was founded in 1988 and has raised more than $100 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illnesses. A number of broadway, off-broadway and national touring shows have performed for the organization, such as The Easter Bonnet Competition , Nothin' Like A Dame , Broadway Bares , Flea Market and Grand Auction and Gypsy of the year competition.
