Hall's Pond Park in West Hempstead, NY is an eleven-acre park featuring a five and a half acre pond, surrounded by paved walkways, bridges, and park benches. Owned by Nassau County, the park is currently undergoing renovations to include a new gazebo, amphitheater, improved fencing, lighting, trash cans, walkways, and drinking fountains by 2011.
Originally designed for drainage purposes, the park also boasts an outdoor hockey rink and will soon feature a facelifted footbridge and a new catch basin filtration system to maintain the cleanliness and clarity of the pond water.
