HistoryWhen I began playing and teaching professionally, I had the same basic concept that I have now, and that's to teach students whatever they want to learn, yet make absolutely sure that fundamental music making skills, and guitar playing techniques are taught accurately in a way that fits the individual. Truth is, ANY style of music has music making essentials and to do it on guitar, certain techniques simply have to occur. So it doesn't matter the style. That's completely up to you. At the same time, I share my own love of the various styles I play. If you aren't exactly sure what direction to go but just love guitar itself (not uncommon) let's explore it together.
