I am a board-certified medical oncologist whose clinical practice is dedicated exclusively to the care of patients with all stages of breast cancer. I am part of a large, multidisciplinary team of devoted specialists who share my goal of providing exceptional care to patients fighting breast cancer. Through my research activities, I work to develop new therapeutic options for the treatment of breast cancer and to ultimately eradicate this disease.

I served as Chief of the Breast Medicine Service from 1998 to 2016 when I became the CEO of the American Society of Clinical Oncology. I am a Consultant medical oncologist with a clinical practice limited to the treatment of people with breast cancer.

I am a board-certified medical oncologist with a practice devoted to treating patients with breast cancer. My laboratory and clinical research both focus on developing new treatment strategies against breast cancers that develop resistance to standard treatments. This involves studies designed to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying resistance and to identify new molecular targets that may inform novel therapeutic approaches.
