Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services, Inc ( ADDS ) was founded in 1977 to operate inpatient residential and outpatient treatment programs for persons addicted to drugs and/or alcohol.Ten years later, the Alcohol and Drug Dependency Services Foundation, ( ADDSF ) commonly known as the Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign, was created with the sole purpose of raising funds for the construction and support of adolescent treatment facilities.Mission: Raise, manage and distribute funds for the development and support of facilities, education and prevention programs for adolescents and their families in Western New York suffering from alcohol and drug dependency/addiction.

Founded in 1910, the YWCA of Genesee County is a social and welfare organization. It offers programs on domestic violence, racial injustice and child care. The organization provides temporary and emergency shelters for the victims of sexual abuse. It also offers assistance in preparating and filing orders of protection and custody petitions. The YWCA of Genesee County s supportive services include one-on-one counseling, safety planning, and information and education about the effects and dynamics of domestic violence. It also offers assistance through police and service providers. The organization s racial injustice program includes the components of racial profiling, immigrant rights, and education on racism and its elimination. It also conducts fitness, computers and dance classes. The YWCA of Genesee County is located in Batavia, N.Y.

Cornell Cooperative Extension is a community-based educational organization that is governed by a board of directors. Its programs offer information on agricultural production, economic development, youth leadership, nutrition, environmental resource management and public policies. The organization offers parenting classes on child discipline, anger management and family responsibilities. Its consumer horticulture program offers information on organic gardening, pruning, houseplants, plant diseases, pest management and fertilizers. The organization also offers workshops on health and food safety. Located in Batavia, N.Y., Cornell Cooperative Extension offers programs for youth in the age group of 8 to 19 years. Its youth activities include award trips, dairy bowls, public presentations, state fairs and community service projects.
