Garau Gonzalez, Marisela, DMD

Dr. Aaron Myers is an Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine in the Division of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Myers received his B.S. in Biology from Cornell University and his D.D.S. from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He then completed his specialty training in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Myers teaches Pediatric Dentistry both clinically and didactically to pre-doctoral dental students and post-doctoral dental residents. Dr. Myers is also an Assistant Attending at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where he cares for patients in the pediatric operating rooms of the Morgan Stanley Childrens Hospital.

Dr. Chen is a full-time Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine at the Columbia University Medical Center in the Section of Growth and Development, Division of Orthodontics, at Columbia University's College of Dental Medicine. She is also the Program Director of the postgraduate orthodontics program.Dr. Chen received her dental degree in Bejing, China, at Peking University and completed a PhD Program in Oral Biology and her specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. She received her DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. She is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics (Board Certified).Dr. Chen is involved in research, teaching and faculty practice. She provides orthodontic services to children and adults.

Dr. Lalla received dental degrees from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and from Columbia University in New York City, and a Masters in Periodontics from Columbia University. Upon completion of her specialty training in Periodontics, she joined the full time faculty at Columbia. She received University Tenure and is currently a Professor of Dental Medicine and the Senior Associate Dean for Faculty Development at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.Her research has primarily focused on the field of periodontal infections and their link with diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis, and has been supported by the National Institutes of Health, as well as industry and foundations. She is the recipient of prestigious awards, including the Antony A. Rizzo Young Investigator Award from the International Association for Dental Research and the World Periodontal Research Award from the Sunstar Foundation for Oral Health Promotion. Dr. Lalla is the immediate past president of the Periodontal Research Group of the International Association for Dental Research. She has published several articles in high impact medical and dental journals and has lectured extensively in the United States and internationally.Dr. Lalla provides services in all areas of periodontal and implant therapy.
