History

Gan Asia, is the brain trust of 4 high school friends (the original owners) seeing the needs of a growing community. At its inception 15+ years ago there was a real shortage of quality takeout food for the expanding Orthodox Jewish dining community. Gan Asia sought to fill that need. Over the years we have been proud to achieve our original goals as well as broaden into a true community establishment. Gan Asia has had the opportunity to donate hundreds of meals to local charities as well as plant an olive orchard in Israel for a community for disabled individuals, capable of limited working skills, all of which has been done in concert with the wonderful community we serve. After a 15 year history on the Upper West Side, we have proudly stayed true to our original plan. There is only one Gan Asia, and it's staying that way. We love to provide the best and the fastest delivered Pan Asia cuisine to our customers, no better history or future than that. The Gan Loves You

Specialties

A perfect little takeout joint. Specializing in Chinese, Thai and Sushi, we offer the ultimate Pan Asian, all while being strictly Glatt Kosher (sorry no pork or shellfish here),Dining experience. Try our General Tso's Chicken or Pad Thai, if you're looking for the best of the basics, or get a little crazy and try our Pra Ram, Ming Dynasty or Bazooka roll for a culinary experience that is sure to leave you unbuckling your pants by the time you're done. Don't worry we're strictly take out and delivery, buckled pants is entirely optional. The Gan Loves You

"Flash fried" beef strips (crispy beef appetizer) are as tough as beef jerky, with a strong old oil taste. Inedible. Chinese chicken poppers, supposed to be fried, were clearly microwaved....

I wonder how many other Yelpers have experienced this phenomenon - you start writing your review for Yelp even before you've tried the food? And you presume based on the decor and the menu and...

Warning--dumplings, veg and meat, are blobs of dough with little filling. Most other food here is much better.

I saw all the one and two star reviews and thought, I'll take my chances anyway. Big mistake! I should have trusted in the wisdom of crowds, and so should you. I ordered Buddhist Delight and the...
