Gamma Phibeta-Alpha
Gamma Phi Beta's Alpha Chapter, founded at Syracuse University on November 11, 1874, is the mother chapter of the sorority and has maintained an unbroken existence since its inception. The chapter celebrated the dedication of its new facility on campus in 1938, which serves as a shrine to its four founders and is the largest Greek letter chapter house at Syracuse.
The house features accommodations for 30 women, along with additional rooms for returning alumnae and guests. Its amenities include a living room, library, dining rooms, and recreational spaces, fostering a strong community among its members while supporting the sorority's mission of building strong girls and leadership development.
