Gallea's Florist & Greenhouse

Gallea's Tropical Greenhouse started out as Clover Croft Farm Market in 1957. A young couple, Joe and Ann Gallea began to grow their business from handfuls of fruits and vegetables, and homemade Italian bread into the large variety of nursery plants and unique gifts that are sold today. Joe and Ann Gallea raised the business while also raiding their family of 5 children and 19 grand children ( and still growing ) !! In 1985, Joe Sr. and Ann Gallea decided to retire. Three of their children, Joe Jr., Sheryl ( Roets ), and Susan ( Lang ) decided to carry on the family business. They have been very fortunate and have worked hard to grow the business. They have grown this once tiny family business, into a successful venture that, in 2003, needed a new building with more space and improved architecture! The new building remains located at 2832 Clover Street in Pittsford, on the northeast corner of Clover Street and Jefferson Road. The Gallea Family, along with their customers, have been pleased with the renovations to the building. The most important feature about the business is that it has remained a family owned and operated business for fifty years. The family's goal is to be informative and helpful to the customers needs. "We have tried to capture the feeling of being 'at home' with a genuine fieldstone fireplace for our customers to gather around to enjoy a cup of coffee or browse through our collection of garden magazines and books."
