History

We want you to share in the experience of picking an apple fresh off the tree, to take a bite and enjoy the crisp, firm goodness that nature has given us, and to enjoy all their fruits of our labor! Steven L. and Gayle M. Fobare, with help from family and friends, have spent the years planting and growing an orchard and vineyard at their 180 Johnson Road home. The goal, according to the couple, is to establish a new business -- Fobare's Fruits -- and to help supply the north country with quality locally grown fruit. Mr. Fobare, a dairy farmer for 20 years before getting into the construction and asphalt business, and Mrs. Fobare, a 26-year food service employee at St. Lawrence University, Canton.

Excellent fruits and bakery. Brought elementary kids on the bus here. They play on the playground and get rides on a train pulled by atv. A large jumping air bag the kids go crazy to play on....

Friendly staff. Fun picking apples. Told us we could taste-test any apple while picking. They were all tasty! Nice little store. Would be a great place for kids. Set in a nice Amish/Mennonite area.
