Farm is only open to visitors by appointment. Please send us an email to schedule a visit. Faraway Farm is home to a herd of twenty beautiful alpacas and two Icelandic Horses. Our store offers homegrown yarn and a wide selection of alpaca garments, teddy bears, throws, and many one of a kind items. Just 40 miles north of New York City, the farm is often the location of choice for fashion magazines, wedding photographers, theater companies, television shows and independent photographers. They also host educational tours, private events and workshops throughout the year.

I pass this cute farm all the time when I'm on a vibe ride, chillin in my jeep to good tunes and just killing time. This is tucked off the main roads (some great backroads..windy..gorgeous houses....

Had a lovely visit at Faraway Farm. Gorgeous scenery, friendly and knowledgeable guides (Leda & Steve), and wonderful animals! Highly recommended especially if you're an alpaca fan. Nice shop too.
