Family & Childrens Association Hempstead

Family and Children's Association is a human service network that provides a coordinated system of more than 40 individual programs designed to prevent babies, children, adults, senior citizens and families from abuse and neglect. It offers counseling, case management, housing, youth and referral services. The agency s counseling services include assistance in the areas of anger management, family mediation, finance and vocational education. Family and Children's Association administers the Community Guardianship Program, which features assistance in home and medical care, long-term care assessment and planning, money management, Medicaid and ongoing case evaluation. It has a family center that provides family support, respite care, advocacy, skills development and home visitation services for families. Family and Children's Association is approved by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children.
