I have been on the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering since 1989, and over the years I have treated thousands of people with common as well as rare gastrointestinal cancers. I have particular expertise in managing cancers of the colon and rectum, as well as rare tumors of the digestive tract such as carcinoid and pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors, and other digestive tract cancers such as liver, pancreas, stomach, and esophagus cancers. I also treat other neuroendocrine tumors such as adrenal cancers and pheochromocytomas.

Memorial Sloan Kettering gastroenterologist Robin Mendelsohn has expertise in managing gastrointestinal issues that arise in people with cancer. She has a particular interest in working with people who are at high risk for developing colon cancer and rectal cancer because of hereditary conditions, such as Lynch syndrome, as well as those with young onset colon and rectal cancers.

Memorial Sloan Kettering gastroenterologist Arnold Markowitz has expertise in colon cancer screening and prevention. His clinical and research interests are in the care of people with hereditary colon cancer syndromes, such as Lynch syndrome and familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP).
