Massena High School provides learning opportunities to students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages and physical education. The university also provides programs in business administration, community health, wilderness education, and information and communication technology through the School of Education & Professional Studies. The Adirondack Educational Center serves the school districts of Tupper Lake, Saranac Lake, Lake Placid and Long Lake in New York. Founded in 1975, it houses career and technical education programs. The center also provides an alternative education program for students in grades 9 through 11. The Adirondack Educational Center offers the New Vision in Healthcare program. Its programs are approved by the New York State Department of Education. In addition, the center s early childhood education program includes human development and positive guidance study units. The Adirondack Educational Center s cosmetology program features hair, skin, nail and related study units. It is a part of the Franklin-Essex-Hamilton BOCES.
