Edgar Cayce Organization

PS41 PTA is a parent teacher association of PS41 school located in New York City. Its members include parents, teachers, administrators and school support staff. The PTA provides professional development for teachers, instruments for music programs, math support services and reading recovery classes. It also funds special programs on science, physical education, art, music, computer and dance. Its funraising activities provide sports equipment, classroom supplies and copy machines. Aditionally, it supervises afterschool programs which include athletics, theatre, poetry, martial arts, and magic classes.

Founded in 1998, P.S. 89 is a learning center that provides academic instruction to students in pre-kindergarten through grade five. It conducts classes in English and science. The school assists in the development of language skills. It supports art and music activities. It also serves an assortment of breakfast and lunch items. P.S. 89 operates a chess club. It has a parent-teacher association that provides financial assistance to the school by organizing various fundraising events and activities. The school is administered by The New York City Department of Education, which is one of the largest systems of public schools in the United States. The New York City Department of Education serves more than 1 million students in over 1,400 schools.
