East Woods School

East Woods School has an enrollment of more than 300 students in grades kindergarten through nine. The school s curriculum includes reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, history, fine arts, Spanish and French, computers and physical education. It offers a variety of enrichment activities for children, such as educational games, storytelling, singing, puppetry and role-playing exercises. The facilities offered by the school include an early childhood wing, a library with nearly 20,000 volumes, a science laboratory, a technology center with a computer classroom, art studios, music rooms, gymnasiums, playing fields and an outdoor swimming pool. It also organizes summer camps for students that offers a variety of activities, including sports and outdoor games, arts and crafts, jewelry making, computer games, cooking and dance classes and trips to parks, museums and bowling alleys. The extracurricular activities offered by the school include yearbook, newspaper, student council, field trips and theater club. East Woods School is located in Oyster Bay, N.Y.
