At The Heritage for The Blind, we understand that losing your vision can be a difficult, emotional, and life-changing experience that affects you and everyone around you – spouses, family members, children, friends, neighbors, and co-workers.

Established in 1975, Greenhope Services for Women is a residential treatment center for formerly incarcerated women. It offers domestic violence intervention, nutritional counseling, and housing and financial assistance services. The organization also provides a parole program that focuses on the re-entry of parolee women into society. It specializes in parenting skills development, substance abuse education and counseling services. Greenhope Services for Women conducts a variety of workshops, empowerment lectures, and vocational, educational and recreational activities. It also offers family and individual therapies, as well as transitional and independent living services. Additionally, the organization provides a prevention program that emphasizes drug and alcohol addiction recovery, substance abuse counseling, and medical and legal assistance services. Greenhope Services for Women maintains an office in New York.
