Pulaski Road School, located in East Northport, N.Y., is among the premier public schools in Suffolk County. Governed by the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District, it teaches classes from kindergarten through grade five, and enrolls more than 450 students. It provides a wide range of programs and activities, including math Olympiad, student newspaper, musical and intramurals programs, peer tutors, science adventures, science fair, student council, parent-teacher association, and athletic activities. Pulaski Road School has various clubs that include scrabble, stock market, newspaper, drama, computer, chess and art clubs. Northport Middle School enrolls more than 850 students annually in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes classes in English, math, science and social studies. It provides several extracurricular activities that include band and choral. The school also offers membership opportunities for the National Junior Honor Society. Northport Middle School provides a variety of sports activities, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, hockey, golf, tennis, softball and baseball. The school supports Project Excel and accelerated reader programs. Northport Middle School maintains a library that houses various educational books and resources. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that funds several activities and events. It is governed by the Northport-East Northport School District.
